Thanks to Kingston City Council and the good folk at St. Aidans Church in Carrum, VEG got amongst it today with a short introductory course on organic veg & herb growing. Following on from the recent VEG construction of three large raised beds and compost system, the garden was officially opened today, and these folks are planting up a storm! Not only that, they are helping a large number of people in need generally, and cranking up the community garden as a key resource in achieving this.

To spread the good word even further, Kingston City are having us back to St. Aidans over the coming month or two, for even more short courses: Intro to Composting & Worm Farming, Intro to Permaculture, and the razzle dazzle Living Foods Workshop!

So if you or someone you know lives down that way and may enjoy a good dose of VEG – stay tuned and we’ll let you know as dates are confirmed. All in all, a grand way to spend the afternoon 🙂
